SD4 Operation Instructions
At power up the default
settings are as follows: Race Mode, lane one, Formula One start format, one lap. "01" will be displayed on the left
side of the Control Tower. You may add laps using the +10 and +1 buttons. To start the action,
stage a car in lane one.
If you would like to change to a different lane or add drivers, press the Mode button.
"P-01" will be displayed or "P- the number of laps selected. P stands for Program. Four of the five control
buttons have under-labels, L1, L2, L3, and L4. L stands for Lane. In the program mode these
buttons will toggle the lanes on and off.
After lane selection has been completed press the Mode button again. "F1"
will be displayed. F1 stands for Formula One. If you want to drag race or use the drag race starting sequence, press the Set
button. "drag" will be displayed. You will need a drag racing tree to use this option. If you want to race in more
than two lanes you will need two drag racing tress.
Once you have selected your starting format press Mode. You are now back into race mode.
You may add laps or reset the lap count to one lap. To comence the race, stage the cars. The last car to stage will trigger
the start. Rock and roll.

Start: All active lanes will display the lap duration. When the last car is staged all displays will go dark. After one second
all four digits will display the numeral "8", one at a time, from left to right at one second intervals. There will
be a chime as each light comes on. After the four count and all 8,s are illuminated there will be a random variable delay
from 0 - 4 seconds, after which time all lights will go dark, GO!
The Master Tower of the SD4 can also be used as a two Lane lap racing system or a conventional drag strip.
