All Components from the Original Slot Dragon are compatible with the SD2.
Features:
Formula One start option: Sequence goes as follows.
The Display
will show the number of laps.
After the last car to participate stages the Display will go
blank.
All four digits will illuminate, one at a time, from left to right, at one second
intervals.
After a one to five second random variable delay, the Display will go dark.
Go!
Fastest Lap: After each race the display shows ET’s. Pressing the DISPLAY button once shows RT’s.
Pressing the DISPLAY button again displays Fastest Lap.
Average Lap: Pressing DISPLAY button after Fastest lap is displayed will
show Average Lap. Continued pressing will cycle through the times repeatedly.
Fastest Lap Chime: During the race the SD2 gives an audible "double
beep” every time a Best Lap is recorded.
Negative Reaction Times: In the event of a red-light or line fault,
the display shows the margin of error (how early the car left the line) in thousandths of a second.
Starts on-the-fly/Optional Tree Feature: Because
the entire Display "blinks" when both cars are staged, it is possible to start a sanctioned race with out using
the Tree. The cars taxi around until both pass over the starting line side-by-side, RACE ON! The display will show negative
reaction times but since the SD2 does not figure in the first lap, the Fastest Lap and Average Lap times remain unaffected.
With the original Slot Dragon, a red-light condition is always an automatic DQ. The same goes for the SD2 accept
when both cars red-light a winner light is awarded to the best ET. Nascar style Starts-on-the-fly.
Push button Starts: The Ready Lights always function on this new version,
allowing for the cars to stage before resetting the system from the previous race. Pushing the RESET button after the car(s)
have staged will trigger the start sequence. The Ready Lights will light for a Random Variable Delay time of .8 seconds
to 1.3 seconds. The yellow light are on for .4 seconds, the exact format of NHRA pro-stock.
